Lupus Hawai`i is holding its 2009 STOMP OUT LUPUS NOW Walk & Community Fair this Saturday, May 9, at Ward Centers with a fun program and great entertainment! The evening will be hosted by Anita Hall with entertainment by Crooners, Inc., Touch of Gold and Kaleoaloha Keiki Choir, just to name a few. Registration/Check-in begins at 4:30 PM at the Ward Warehouse stage area and the Walk starts at 5:30 PM. The walk will be between three centers and will incorporate a passport of fun and lupus facts.

Lupus affects approximately 10,000 people in Hawaii.
Women are affected 9 times more than men and are usually in their childbearing years.
Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, Asians, African Americans, Hispanics, Latinos and Native Americans are disproportionately affected by lupus.
Men and children are affected by lupus.
