FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9/8/08 – This fall, Ward Centers welcomes five new merchants to its expanding list of more than 90 shops and 40 eateries. Shoppers can now find Morgan Beret Fine Lingerie and Bed Linen and Up & Riding, which recently moved to Ward Centre from their former Honolulu locations. WeePlay & Learn, an interactive parent-child play center, opened on September 1 at Ward Warehouse. September also welcomes La-2 Shop Hawaii Lani at Ward Centre and Kanpai Bar & Grill, which will occupy the space held most recently by Tio’s Garage.
Kanpai Bar & Grill
On September 12, a new local hangout and eatery, Kanpai Bar & Grill, will open in the space formerly occupied by Tio’s Garage, across from Sports Authority. Kanpai Bar & Grill will be open daily from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. and will serve local favorite dishes and offer nightly drink specials. During football season, Kanpai Bar & Grill will open at 7 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
La-2 Shop Hawaii Lani
La-2 Shop Hawaii Lani will open its new location at Ward Centre in mid-September next to Rainbowtique. La-2 Shop Hawaii Lani is a popular Japanese surfwear brand that features Hawai‘i-themed clothing and accessories for men, women and children.
Morgan Beret Fine Lingerie and Bed Linen
Morgan Beret Fine Lingerie and Bed Linen opened in early August at its new location at Ward Centre near Borders Books and Music. Morgan Beret specializes in quality bed linens and fine European and contemporary American-designed intimate apparel that offers exceptional fit, comfort and style in all sizes. Featured brands include La Perla, Hanky Panky, Chantelle, Fantasie, and Sferra Bros.
Up & Riding
Locally-owned Up & Riding recently opened in July at Ward Centre on the streetfront next to Kua ‘Aina Sandwich. The store offers children’s surf apparel and accessories from the major action sports brands, including Quiksilver, Billabong, O’Neill, Hurley, and Rip Curl. Boys and girls of all ages, from infants to preteens, can find comfortable and trendy t-shirts, dresses, slippers, beachwear, and bags.
WeePlay & Learn
On September 1, WeePlay & Learn opened its new, 10,000 square-foot location at Ward Warehouse above the Chowder House restaurant. WeePlay & Learn offers interactive, educational play programs for parents, babies and toddlers, as well as a healthy snack bar, children’s hair salon and exercise classes for mothers. In addition, on-the-go parents who have errands to run or shopping to do at Ward Centers can utilize the Wee Childcare service for a nominal hourly fee.
