Three New Restaurants to Open at Ward Centre

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 10/5/09—Three new and exciting restaurants are scheduled to open at Ward Centre – Ka Restaurant & Lounge, Pablo McGinty’s and Paparazzi.  The new restaurants will fill the open spaces on the second floor of Ward Centre, joining Ryan’s Grill.

Ka Restaurant & Lounge – Ka Restaurant & Lounge is scheduled to open in the former E&O Trading Co. space in late November or early December 2009.  It will serve modern fusion cuisine in a trendy atmosphere and offer lunch and dinner from Monday through Friday, dinner on Saturday and late night entertainment on Friday and Saturday until 2 a.m.; the restaurant will be closed on Sundays. 

Pablo McGinty’s – Pablo McGinty’s, a unique Mexican and Irish-themed pub/cantina, will open at Ward Centre in early 2010.  The menu will include traditional Mexican and Irish dishes, as well as contemporary blends of both cuisines, all handmade in-house using only fresh ingredients.   Pablo McGinty’s will operate from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. and will offer a daily pau hana and late night happy hour menu with half-off appetizers and drink specials.  The bar will feature a full line of Irish beers, showcasing a perfect pint of Guinness; Irish whiskeys; Mexican beers; Mexican tequila; and made-to-order margaritas.  Live bands will perform on weekends and select weekdays.

Paparazzi – Paparazzi, a new restaurant and nightclub by famed Honolulu nightclub owner George Kail and his wife Noriko, is scheduled to open at Ward Centre on Oct. 23, 2009.  Paparazzi will feature contemporary, cutting edge décor with an art gallery featuring pieces by Joshua Chinsky.  The restaurant will offer lunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and an extensive appetizer and tapas menu by Chef John Kilborn until 1 a.m.  Happy hour will be from 4-10 p.m., and beginning at 10 p.m., Paparazzi will transform into a lounge and nightclub for the smart and casual but sophisticated 25-and-over crowd with DJs spinning international house and current favorites until 2 a.m.  The venue will also feature live entertainment.
