NEW MERCHANTS OPENING AT WARD CENTERS: Alliway, Genki Sushi, Bring a Variety of New Stores and Local Favorites
Ward Centers announces the grand openings of Alliway, and Genki Sushi.
Ward Warehouse welcomes Alliway, a jewelry boutique, to Hawaii. Owner Alli Kim-Czerniak worked at a corporate nine-to-five job when she decided to follow her dream of becoming a jewelry designer instead. Her work can now be found in more than 150 stores across the nation, mainly in small local boutiques. Alliway is Kim-Czerniak’s own shop, her first venture into retailing her own creations, and it features exclusive pieces that are available nowhere else. On Saturday, September 22, from 5 to 10 p.m., Alliway will be celebrating its grand opening and launching its new line of fine jewelry in Hawaii. The first 40 people who attend will receive gift bags, and there will be drawings for three items valued between $50 and $100. Appetizers and drinks will be served all evening. To celebrate the grand opening, for the month of September, all Alliway jewelry items priced over $50 will be offered at 30 percent off.
Genki Sushi is opening a brand new Ward Centre location at the end of November. With more than 100 seats, the roomy, comfortable restaurant is designed to keep waiting time to a minimum. Hawaii’s first Genki Sushi opened in 1992 on Kapahulu Avenue and was the first kaiten sushi shop in the state. A concept that originated in Japan in 1968, kaiten sushi is fresh, affordable sushi, made with the help of automated equipment that is offered to diners on a conveyor belt that moves past all the restaurant’s seats. Genki Sushi was recently voted “Hawaii’s Best” in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin for the fifth consecutive year. The most popular items on the menu are the Spicy Tuna and the Dragon Roll.
