1st Annual "Green it Up" Fair at Ward Centers

Come to the "Green it Up" Fair and see how you can make a difference.
Spring equals "Green" at Ward Centers. The "Green It Up" event features the 28th Annual Anthurium Plant Show & Sale along with:

-Free horiculture workshop at 10a.m. on both Friday and Saturday at the Ward Warehouse amphitheatre.

-The Hawaii Department of Agriculture's Plant Quarantine Branch will present an exhibit of invasive species, display boards, and information to help protect Hawaii Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. . It will be located at Ward Centre near Genki Sushi.

-Betty Gearen of The Green House in Pauoa is the resident pro when it comes to educating the community about the environment. She teaches Hawaii's keiki about worm composting and butterfly gardens. This exhibit, which will be located in Ward Centre near Genki Sushi, is fun and informative, especially for keiki. Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

-MOA Hawaii will be sponsoring free wellness activities on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kakaako Conference Room on the second floor of Ward Warehouse. Patrons will have the chance to make their own mini floral arrangement, watch a Bontamae tea ceremony, and participate in a healing jorei. All activities and a children's painting exhibit are free and open to the public. MOA Hawaii will also present the entries and winners of its 19th Annual Children's Painting Contest on Friday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

-Free Keiki activities - making sand art bug magnets, planting activity, and insect temporary tattoos--take place at Ward centre near Borders Books & Music, ground floor, Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

-Receive a Ward Centers shopping canvas tote made with earth-friendly materials and stuffed with HECO's Compact fluorescent Light coupons. Customers must present $100 in qualifying Ward receipts dated March 21 & 22, 2008, at the Gift with Purchase Redemption Counters (see locations below). while supplies last.
