Back to School fun at Discover Kaka’ako, Saturday, July 13, 5pm to 9pm with live entertainment, family fun, fashion show, food trucks, tents, a beer garden and HALF-Y Hour!

HAWAII LITERACY Bring your new or gently used school supplies to the Hawaii Literacy Booth and enjoy storytelling from their favorite books.

ART EXPLORIUM Art activities.

PLAYGROUNDS ORGANIC CAFE Games and Music for children.

T.J. Maxx Back to school fashion for big and little boys and girls. Visit their booth and enter for a chance to win a T.J. Maxx gift card.

HMAA Hawai’i Medical Assurance Association’s booth will have free body composition and blood pressure screenings performed by their skilled wellness team. Biometric screenings can shine a light on developing conditions that may put a person’s health at risk. HMAA is dedicated to achieve a healthier Hawai’i and encourages the community to take charge of their health, with education being the first step toward prevention.

Families can jump in on the fun by making their way to the kids’ zone where they’ll score points at the video game truck and more.



Susan G. Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure® Registration
Register online for the 19th Annual Susan G. Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure® at Discover Kaka’ako and receive a free gift wrapped Junior League of Honolulu cookbook entitled, Aloha Days Hula Nights, which includes over 375 recipes. The cover is graced by famed local artist Pegge Hopper.
