Ward Centers Welcomes Hawaii's First Men's Wearhouse and Five New Merchants

HONOLULU ─ Beginning this fall, discover more at Ward Centers as it welcomes five new merchants and two national retailers to its family of more than 135 shops and eateries - Tiare Teiti “All Things Tahiti”, Leloa Baby Collections& Keiki Boutique, Basique Threads and Quiksilver. DOLCE is under new ownership and has moved to a new location in Ward Centre, and national toy store Toys“R”Us-Express has opened a holiday store in the former Borders Books location, just in time for the holiday season. Men’s Wearhouse will also be opening a location at Ward Entertainment Center in Spring 2012.

With all of these great changes taking place, Ward Centers would like to invite shoppers and diners to discover even more on Saturday, Oct. 29, during the centers’ “Discover More Hunt” scavenger hunt. Clues will be given via Ward Centers’ Facebook and Twitter newsfeeds beginning 4pm. The first 200 hunters to find the first secret checkpoint will receive a free Ward tote bag, and the first 100 finishers can win great prizes including a $500 shopping spree, Bose Quietcomfort® acoustic noise cancelling headphones, movie tickets and more. Toys“R”Us-Express – Toys“R”Us-Express is located on the first level of Ward Centre. On-the-go parents, grandparents and last-minute shoppers looking to purchase everything on little ones’ wish lists in one quick trip will find a carefully selected assortment of playthings at the conveniently located Toys“R”Us-Express store. Shoppers can find dolls, games, action figures, educational toys and perennial favorites to fit every budget, including many items that can only be found at Toys“R”Us. The store is expected to remain open throughout the holiday season.

Men’s Wearhouse – Men’s Wearhouse will open its first Hawaii store at Ward Centers. Known for high quality and service, Men’s Wearhouse will offer men's suits, sport coats, dress shirts, slacks, casual clothing, shoes, tuxedos, tuxedo rentals and accessories, including Big & Tall. Premier services include free lifetime pressing on all suits, sport coats, slacks and tuxedos purchased at any of their 900+ stores nationwide; hemming of slacks while you wait; and 24-hour tailoring. The 4,600 square foot store will open in Spring 2012 at Ward Entertainment Center next to Starbucks.

Tiare Teiti “All Things Tahiti” – Designer Ida Teiti features her Tiare Teiti dresses, each one hand cut from Tahitian Pareo and sewn here in the islands, as well as made-in-Hawaii board shorts for men and boys, and Honey Girl Water Wear and Little Honeys swimwear. The store also carries imports from Tahiti such as hand-made soaps, Grade A Tahitian Vanilla Bean, Tamanu, Tiare, and Vanilla oil cold pressed, authentic Tahitian black pearls, bags and purses, and footwear. The store is located next to The Liquor Collection at Ward Warehouse.

Leloa Baby Collections and Keiki Boutique – Located streetfront at Ward Centre between Taco Del Mar and ZPizza, Leloa Baby Collections is a trendy mommy and baby boutique offering infant to toddler wear and accessories, stylish gear and apparel for mothers, including nursing lingerie, innovative baby essentials and nursery décor. This fashion forward boutique is projected to open on Nov. 12, 2011.

Basique Threads – Located at Ward Warehouse between Downtown Gifthings and T&C Surf, Basique Threads offers contemporary, urban, fashion forward men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. Brands include Insight, Comune, Neff, Local Celebrity, Bleulab denim, Upper Class Label, Someday's Lovin, Mad Love and more. The store will open in early November.

Quiksilver – Quiksilver is an outdoor sports lifestyle company that designs, produces and distributes a diversified mix of branded apparel, footwear, and accessories including Quiksilver Watermens, Roxy, Quiksilver girl and kids. From aloha shirts to tees, boardshorts to bikinis, accessories to slippers, Quiksilver’s selection is for the whole family. The store is located in Ward Warehouse next to Executive Chef.

DOLCE – DOLCE is under new ownership and has moved to a brand new location in Ward Centre across the Red Pineapple, and will open in early November. The boutique features women’s clothing, accessories, styles and brands that celebrities are wearing such as Gypsy 05, Lauren Moshi, Chan Luu and Tolani. DOLCE will also carry fashions by local designers.
