Ward Centers Donates Fixtures to Local Nonprofit Organization

HONOLULU ─ Ward Centers understands the importance of giving back to the community and has donated fixtures to the Leahi Hospital Thrift Shop.

“Giving back to the community is such an important facet of what Ward Centers is all about,” said David Striph, senior vice president-Hawai‘i, Howard Hughes Corporation. “We are pleased to have been able to support this very deserving organization.”

The Leahi Hospital Thrift Shop is located in the basement of the Leahi Hospital, a long-term care facility. The shop is loaded with books, toys, kitchenware and antiques. Proceeds benefit hospital residents.

“We are so grateful for donations that help to better the Leahi Hospital Thrift Shop,” said Evelyn Nakamura, Leahi Hospital Thrift Shop volunteer. “The metal card display will be the perfect way to showcase our greetings cards.”
