Over
a hundred years ago, Victoria Ward and her husband Curtis
Perry Ward, shared a unique business partnership and created
an estate extending from Thomas Square to the shore. Their
former home, "Old Plantation", is the site of Blaisdell Concert
Hall. When Curtis died in 1882, Victoria Ward and her daughters
carried on the family business which continues to influence
Honolulu's commercial and retail development to this day.
Today Ward Centers is owned and managed by General Growth Properties, Inc., the second largest U.S.-based publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).
